Why this Blog…

This blog tracks the thoughts, insights and musings that I have had since 2016 when I started a graduate course in Organizational Development with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Working on social change is already a complex arena, and adding social justice framework into the mix adds another level of complexity that I rarely hear with a whole systems perspective. Pieces and parts, outrage and guilt, marches and circles; what befalls us is what we focus on, and it is usually a facet, however important that facet is to us personally.

I won’t be making arguments proving oppression exists in our culture, even if oppression exists only in perception the corrosive effects on our social health would still be a major challenge to any civil society. Instead I hope to share what I and my colleagues have learned, to point out principles of social change, and inspire others with the few humbling insights I have had during the past few years.

An additional note: I don’t have an editor. I am a firm believer in imperfect action and iterations. At this point I am more concerned about getting ideas out into the wider world than presenting  polished pieces. Thanks for your understanding.

Peace and Progress,
